The story starts with…..An attack on a plane carrying the former President Benjamin Baxter gives his wife, Senator Belanie Baxter the boost in the polls she needs to win the White House. But was it a terrorist attack? FBI agents Mick Hammer and Natalie Evans draw the assignment to determine who was behind the murder of 45 people aboard the Presidential campaign plane. Hammer and Evans rule out all targets other than former President Baxter, which in turn sets their sights clearly on the former First Lady of the United States. The investigation takes many turns, but always straightens out to point at Belanie Baxter. The agents’ investigation leads them from the scene of the crime in Houston to Washington, DC and on to the nominating convention in New York City. When Belanie wins the White House, the agents have to ask themselves if the new President is the mastermind behind the biggest terrorist attack in the US since 9/11.
